Trial of ‘Aadhaar’ attendance of employees in the bihar from 1st February.

A ‘Aadhaar’ based system will be started to attend government employees in Patna, Vaishali, and Aurangabad from 1st February. Bihar Home Department has approved this initiative and has instructed Beltron to prepare for it.

Initially, this system will be implemented on a trial basis in the District Magistrate offices of these districts. After this, it will be implemented in government offices across Bihar in a phased manner.

This modern system will not be limited to just the state secretariat but will reach district offices, schools, hospitals, and other government departments. Once fully implemented, the attendance of all employees will be recorded in a centralized system at the state level, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Home Department has also ensured that the status of absent employees is recorded. Location of attendance will be confirmed through geo-tagging, and photographs taken during biometric registration will remain secure and unaltered. This system will set a new example of discipline and transparency in the government system.
