The Education Department has issued a letter today on 23 1, 2025, which states that to take forward action for payment of salary, etc. of specific teachers,
Focusing on procedures related to Pran (PRAN) number of pay payments of special teachers of Bihar government and permanent retirement account number i.e. Pran registration and others using the online portal under the National Pension System (NPS) for teachers of Bihar. Processes have been instructed to complete the time.
After receiving Pran (Permanent Retirement Account Number), special teachers are required to be uploaded on the HRMS portal by the Department of Data. This data will be taken through the capacity examination portal and E-NPS portal of the Bihar School Examination Board through the Command and Control Center. Also, technical joining of special teachers is mandatory on the departmental counseling portal https://sakshamta-counselling.thecodebucket.com, in which the date and time of joining are recorded.
Under Rule 8.1 of Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023 (Amended), special teachers will get full salary protection under local body rules, 2020. According to Rule 8.2, when these rules are implemented, their salary will be received according to the fitment matrix. Other allowances include dearness allowance, house rent allowance, medical allowance, and urban transport allowance, which will be based on the current rates of the state government.
The salary of local body teachers is done through the District Program Officer (Establishment). The process of salary protection and salary determination of local bodies teachers who contribute to the post of special teacher should be ensured on time so that salary payment can be made on time.
