To ensure that students attending government schools are at ease, all Block Education Officers (BEOs) have been instructed that no student should be required to sit on the ground while learning. BEOs along with School Sub-Inspectors are required to provide feedback within 24 hours regarding the number of benches and desks available in schools in relation to the total student count.

DEO Sanjay Kumar has emphasized that all BEOs are obligated to adhere to these directives.

The report should encompass the following information:

  • Name of the school
  • U-Dise code
  • Overall student population
  • Average attendance on a daily basis
  • Current count of available benches/desks
  • Additional benches/desks required

If there are any schools that still have students seated on the floor after the report has been filed, measures will be taken against the BEO and the School Sub-Inspector.
