The Central Office of Bihar Police has seen that some people are trying to pressure their cars improperly by writing fake tags like ‘police’, ‘press’, or ‘army’.

It not only confuses ordinary people but also promotes criminal activities through its misuse. In such cases, there have been many cases of cheating or intimidation of people as fake official tags.

Additionally, some individuals use such words to avoid traffic police and other government professionals, violating the rules. To prevent such misuse, the Bihar Police has decided to take strict action.

What steps will be taken now?

  • If a person uses such words without proper identity, then his/her car will come under investigation.
  • Strict action will be taken under the rules of traffic and law, including heavy fines and the possibility of vehicle seizure.
  • If someone intentionally violates the rules, strict legal provisions related to fraud and misconduct may apply against him/her.
  • Police have been instructed to regularly check all vehicles and immediate action should be taken if such stickers or words or tags are found without permission.

How long will this rule be effective?

The order has been issued on 28 January 2025 and it is implemented with immediate effect. All district police officers have been instructed to strictly follow this rule. Traffic police and other security agencies across the state will conduct special campaigns to follow this rule.

Remove immediately or be ready for large fine!

If words or fake tags like ‘Police’, ‘Press’, or ‘Army’ are on your car without a valid identity, then remove them immediately! Otherwise, be ready to face legal action and heavy fines.

This rule is necessary to maintain law and order and it also ensures the safety of the general public. Strict steps will be taken against those who take advantage of fake identities.
