The Election Department of Bihar has started the digital verification work of voters aged 90 years or above. This process will be conducted through the BLO (Booth Level Officer) app to keep the voter list accurate and updated.

How will the verification process be done?

This will be a completely digital method. The BLO will have to follow the following 4 steps:

  1. Login to BLO app – Login will be done through user ID, password, and OTP.
  2. View voter list – Information of voters above 90 will be available on the app.
  3. Check details – The veracity of the details of each voter has to be ensured.
  4. Select status – The BLO has to choose one of these options:

Present – ​​The voter is present at his residence.

Shifted – The voter has moved to another place.

Dead – The voter has passed away.

What will be the method of confirmation of shifted and deceased voters?

If a voter is shifted or dead, the BLO will be required to update it by filling out Form-7/8. This information will be recorded in government records.

When will this process be completed?

Last date – 25 February 2025

It will be reviewed again in March 2025, to ensure the list’s completeness.
